Some of the staff have started their own, where you may discover news from behind the scenes. Blogging gives each of us the chance to interact on a more personal level during and between events. Of course, access to your blogs are not restricted to the registered players. Anyone can view your blog once you've got one setup. Why not give it a try?*
So, how do we go about setting one up?
The Blogs homepage gives you access to new blog creation and to all your existing blogs. You could follow this shortcut or follow the steps below:
- Visit the My Blogs page. You can access this any time with the 'Blogs' link, top left.
- Select 'Create a new blog'
- You're now in the blogs subdomain of llamalan.co.uk!
- Enter your new blog's name into the Title box.
- Remember that whatever you put here becomes your blog's name. This will also be used as the subdomain to access your own blog; for example, if I provided a title of 'cheesecake', then my blog homepage would become http://cheesecake.llamalan.co.uk. Nifty, eh?

- Whatever you enter in the larger text field becomes the introduction text to your blogging domain. See where the smaller informative text is above the input fields? That's what it'll look like.
- Make sure you check the box 'Show blog entry'
- Click Add. Job done The into can be changed later if you want.
- New entries will be added to a queue for moderation by admins, so beware.
- Once it's approved, you have a blog! From now on, when you go to the My Blogs page, your new blog will appear in a list as a link. Clicking this link will take you to your blogging domain, where, if logged in, you can manage all your entries.
Like the rest of the site, this has been built from the ground up. It's been carefully crafted, pummelled, recrafted and pummelled again to make sure it works just as well (if not better
) as any other blogging engine out there. What features exist right now?
- The very latest entries will feature in the 'Latest Blogs' box to the left.
- Write as many entries as you like.
- Use any bbcode markup available in the forums.
- Use additional bbcodes we've created specifically for use in blog entries. These additional custom codes will appear above the large text field when making or editting an entry. Play with such codes as [youtube] and [h].
- Insert your own image uploads! Try uploading images using the 'Uploads' tab in your profile, and these images become available for use in your blog entries. When editting a blog entry, notice the handy dropdown nestled in with the other formatting buttons? Select your image from the list, and the bbcode used to display it will be immediately placed in your text. Try it and see what it looks like! Hover over the 'uploadimg' formatting button to see what other layout options are available.
- If you've allowed it, registered visitors can leave comments on what you say.
