A Slight Snag

Hi guys, I'm afraid we've hit a bit of a snag. Due to a "clerical" error, we are having to move LlamaLAN 12 from the weekend of the 23rd October 2009 to the weekend of 30th October 2009. We apologise for the mix up with this and will, of course, offer a full refund to anyone already signed up that cannot make the new dates.

Clerical error? That's a shame, I'll have to look at the holiday roster and see what I can do about canceling my annual leave and shifting it by a week, hopefully LG will be able to alter her arrangements as well.

Well it has the advantage of making it over the Halloween weekend , but on the other hand it will be more likely to clash with other events

With this much warning it should be easy enough for most people to alter arrangements, and so far I haven't seen any other LANs advertise for those dates. (Multiplay certainly aren't, and neither have Epic.LAN)

Aye, tis a pain in the arse, got an email from the scouts about it yesterday. Basically someone else had a booking for the Saturday which they had to honour. Why they took this long to notice the clash however I have no idea

All the info I have seen/found out says I38 will be November/December. but if it is, so be it.

usual rules apply with LL12, if we don't get 20 people signed up by the cutoff then it won't be going ahead.

From the looks of it it won't clash with any i-series event. CD was the first to respond and his post says they've not done anything with that weekend yet. I had a look on their forums as soon as KF showed us the message from the venue trustees and, while Wizzo mentioned Oct/Nov in his provisional dates list, he talks about Nov/Dec later in the same thread. I think we're safe.

Nope ... just this ... http://www.multiplay.co.uk/eventdiary.asp ... if they can't be bothered to confirm dates a decent time in advance then the rest of us mere mortals will just have to make plans without them. If a 40 person LAN can plan 6 months ahead I really think that the largest LAN in the country should be able to do the same.
