There will be an *EMERGENCY* net connection through a GPRS/3G phone for things like authing with Steam for those that forget to do it, but we have no access to either landlines or cable to improvise anything so prepare for a three day e-mail/IRC blackout. Sorry and all that but there just isn't anything we can do about it short of paying for a connection ourselves and that would dramatically increase the cost of the event ... 12 months rental for around 12 days or less useage a year is not economic unless people have some 'contacts' they would like to put forward.
We have two gaming servers running the scheduled games, you may bring a second server provided it is only used in the FFA times, and if we feel that it's use jeopardises the power consumption for the LAN then we will prevent it being used at all, basically, yes you can, but we do not want to ruin the small LAN feel by diluting the number of people playing on the servers by introducing more choice and diverting people's attention, we would much rather have one or two full servers instead of 3 or four half empty ones. The power issue is another huge concern, we have been deliberately caution and will continue to be so until we establish empirically that the power supply will support more that the numbers of PCs we are hooking up at the moment.
Shops are a two minute drive around the corner there is a medium sized CO-OP and large Tescos within another couple of minutes of that.
