So, I got an X-Box

only the old one, not a 360,
but the question is, what are
the 'essential' games I should
get hold of ?

(Got Project Gotham already :) )

Personally I have found that I can't get on with FPS type games on console controllers after using mouse and keyboard for so long, but racing games and beat 'em ups are great.

Rent Tomb Raider: Legend. I've got that for PC and from what I've read it's just as much fun on the Xbox.

already got TR:L on PC...

what I'm after are the older games, that
should be on budget (or 2nd hand), but
really shouldn't be missed !

Halo/Halo 2 if you haven't already got them. Project Gothem is good, so is Needs for speed:underground 2. Will try and remember some more.
Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.
