Hope this is in the correct section

in my infinte wisdom I said to myself " lets see if this cpu can go even faster" so there I am my A64 3000+ 1.8ghz running @ 2.25ghz (As it always has done) So I am thinking I wonder if I can get it to 2.4ghz Which it did with a few voltage tweaks, Then WHAM Blue screen. Hmmmmm ok maybe stick with 2.25ghz. Pc booted fine after cmos reset then goto click on firefox and WHAM no Internet.

Several hours later

Think Feck it must be the router. But NO the other pc on the same router with the same cable in the same port runs fine. ( Input as many expletives as you like)

Check my network settings and it says connected think ok re install router type in the address and it says there is no fecking router there.

I have come to the conclusion that I have fried my lan socket some how.

Any Ideas ?????

Cheers Evo

Stick in a seperate nick and test it? If nothing else, it will rule out the onboard nic as being the problem.
