I live in the USA and I'm thinking of going to a Llamalan party in the UK mid-august. I know the plugs are different between the two countries so I was wondering if anybody had a spare power supply I could borrow for the time I was there. Thanks

Well that would be really awesome if you were to visit, sir. You will be most welcome. There's been so many rebuilds at these events I'm sure someone, if not ten attendees, will have some spare hardware for you.

US mobos don't use different voltages though do they?
If memory serves the standard US house socket supplies about 110 volts or so of power, whereas in the UK they supply 240 volts. Isn't that going to be a problem for supplying current to the PC?
Also, is the mobo connector on the PSU the same for both PSU types? I think they are, but wether or not they're designed for handling the same current between US and UK PSUs... I have no idea.
Just thought I'd mention this now, in case there are differences that could cause issues.

internal components are the same, it's only the power supply that is different. Although I believe "switching" power supplies will work on 110 or the UK 230 supply

A fair few PSUs have a little flip switch on the back of them, so you can change between 110v and 240v.
No idea if mine does, haven't looked at it in months heh.
