If any of you southerners are 'oop norf' anytime, there is a LAN in Barnsley! every 6 weeks. Me and a mate go quite often and the last one (28-30 Nov 08) even has pics of me sporting a LLX T-Shirt. I was famous to 1 person at least they recognised the shirt (Angelus).

attend a i-series.. MMO games are huge there

I'm talking about small lans, where you usually don't have net access.

i guess so... some people do attend lans for the atmosphere...we had a guy at i35 who played WoW all weekend.. he said he prefered the atmosphere there and he likes to make friends...

we lan at college all the time and a bunch of us play Dota.. i don't bcoz i not a MMO fan at all!!!!

DOTA isn't an mmo, it's an RTS game that's part of Warcraft 3.

But yeah I know what you mean, it's all about the people you're with, usually

DOTA isn't an MMO, its a custom map on Warcraft 3 (RTS) and DOTA itself is more like RTS than anything else.. think of it as the cs 1.6/source of the RTS world.. its the team game..
