Something is up with it, and here are the symptoms.
Press power on, power supply is certainly doing its thing but the motherboard responds with nothing. No keyboard lights, no signal to the monitor, no internal beeping.
Power off (reset button does nothing) and on again. I can get into the BIOS at this point. Oddly, the processor speed is listed as running at something like 2.17 Ghz even though it is a 2.4 Ghz processor. A further reboot into the BIOS confirms the processor is running at its proper setting, and windows boots up fine.
This started last week, just in time for the LAN Which means once I turn it on at the event, I may not turn it off till the end...
I tried reseating the important bits and connections on the board and while I was in there I gave it a good vacuum and brushing down. I haven't tried much else but I'm certain the motherboard is complaining for some reason. It's been running fine for over two years. I am now concerned that a motherboard replacement is impending.
Has anyone else ever seen this problem for themselves?
My PC is playing up! :'(

Reset the CMOS!!
Find the jumper (usually) nearest the battery on the mobo. I'm sure you know how to reset the CMOS...
See if that susses it.
