I'd love this LAN's tourney to be WarSow, or good ol' Quake 3 Arena. Q3DM6 for the final. Nice.

I've been supporting Warsow for ages, I love it, and it removes any excuse of "I don't have the game".

would be awesome, warsow was fun last time, but the like 30 man mash up game wasn't as great, 1v1s would be a nice new take instead it being UT plus yeah, no one has an excuse for not having the game.

never played the game, execpt practasing at the lan incase peopel wanted to play.

Hey Dudes warsow was ghey no offence but maybe we should think about going to ut3?? im game for ut2k4 and even prefer it but ill play ut3 instead and im gona practice this time so watch out get ur gaming faces on haha now imma get pwned (not) lol neways i cant really think of any other fps games that would do well as a 1v1 except for quake thats an awsome game but ut is better.... so idk first vote will be ut3 2nd will be ut2k4 i think

I make no apology in repeating this:

In order to fill a 16-player 1v1 we have to be sure we find a game most of the LAN attendees have in their selection. Hence, just make sure your lists of games are up to date and include all the 1v1s you have, including all UT versions and Quake versions and whatever else you have. Of course, Warsow is free and can be given to every single player at the LAN and is a highly likely candidate if no other game is owned by enough people!

If it is UT2004 again, the map list will be fully revamped. No hyperblast.

Big snake map?! Don't know which one that is. Is that the square one with the trenches. That one was awful, I hated it. Didn't know where the enemy ever was!!

i agree to this, but as golem says, ofc its all to do with games list, i will update mine right away!

im purposly not putting ut2k4 in my list so it gets put Down XD

i hate it, sorry but their is nothing "differnt" from any other fps other than you just slightly higher, which makes it INSANLY boring.

cod4 is good, different classes, techniques.

and im thinking modern warfare 2 for tournament, cuase then i get the first place prize */me looks around nevously* haha

it's not so much about fps as it is 1v1 not so easy with cod style of games

ut2k4 is one of the better options, as is warsow

Yea, none of the CoD games suit a 1v1 tourney. These tend to be more for the "Quake" style games, Quake/UT/Painkiller/Warsow are most commonly played, as these tend to be designed for such 1v1 games.

of course, that doesn't mean COD won't make it as a team based tournament

you never know on that one, best get your games lists up to date
