What sort of Network will it be?

This will be a very simple network, as there are only to be 40 or so people at the event.

I am hoping to get 2*24 port switch and 1*16port+ switch.

the 16 port switch will act as the network backbone, with all servers, and the other two switches being plugged into this.

The two 25 port switches will be located at opposite ends of the hall, allowing minimum distance from PC to switch.

bollox to that fancy crap! lets get a yoghurt pot and some string each and make our own 'network' and see how much bandwidth we can rape outta the string.

Did you know you can triple the bandwidth if you keep the string wet? It means leaving big buckets lying around through which the string runs, but the performance is worth it.

Fraid not, afaik, the hall has no facility for that, and if it did, it would be a shared 56k connection!! Not good

plus, I cba to organise it.
